Some people visit Làng An for a few days and then return home. Others want to stay longer — to serve, to learn, or to make it their home. The Village offers two paths for those who want a connection that lasts longer than a holiday.
Become a volunteer
Depending on your circumstances, you can come to live and serve at the Village or support suitable activities remotely. Here, service is not only about giving; it is also an opportunity to develop initiative, cooperation, and a responsible way of living.
Become a Làng An resident
Apply for long-term residence and take part in the Village's shared way of life. Each resident still has private space to rest, work, and care for their personal life. The Village does not seek perfect people; it welcomes those willing to learn and respect differences.
“5 Years of Happiness” Certificate
Exclusively for couples who have settled as residents of the Village. People often wish one another “a hundred years of happiness”; at Làng An, happiness is acknowledged through the specific stages of life that couples have traveled together in a spirit of learning and growth. This is a milestone, not a destination.
A day in the life of a Village resident
Living at the Village means starting the day in nature, practicing meditation together, and enjoying plant-based meals from Communal Dining Hall with vegetables harvested from Nourishing Garden, take part in community activities at Square and help care for shared spaces. This is also an opportunity to learn to live more peacefully and appreciate more deeply the things that seem so ordinary.
How do I begin?
Both paths begin with a conversation. Please contact the Village or call 0777 688 166 to discuss your wishes, availability, and suitability. If you would like to contribute in another way, learn more about Build Làng An Together.
